Chang Gung Memorial Hospital’s International Medical Center offers a variety of services including second opinion consultation. If you require such service, please contact us at: isc@cgmh.org.tw. If you have a preferred doctor, please let us know when you inquire to facilitate the contact process. Our second opinion consultation come in the following forms:
- 1. Written Consultation
- Upon receiving relevant information from you (materials such as medical records, examination reports, X ray reports, or medical reports), our staff at the International Medical Center will forward them to the medical team for analyzation. Then the medical team will provide a formal written Second Opinion Consultation Report for you regarding your condition(s).
- 2. Teleconsultation
- Upon receiving relevant information from you (materials such as medical records, examination reports, X ray reports, or medical reports), our staff at the International Medical Center will forward them to the medical team for analyzation. Then our staff will assist you in arranging a medical teleconference time with our doctor(s).
Before receiving a second opinion consultation, to help us gain a better understanding of your needs, kindly fill out the Consultation Request Form clearly stating your requirements, so that we may gain a better understanding of your medical needs. As well, please sign the International Second Opinion Authorization Form, so that your rights as a patient is protected under law.
FEES
After confirmation of your intent on receiving a second opinion from us, our staff will provide an estimated cost of fees for this service. Please send the estimated fee to us.
- 1. Written Consultation: TWD $4,000 up each person/time
- 2. Teleconsultation: TWD $6,500 up each person/time
NOTE
- 1. Each teleconsultation is 30 mins in length, additional charges will apply for each 15 mins overtime.
- 2. Second Opinion Consultation fees will vary depending on each case and the actual conditions, therefore, above described fees are solely for reference only.
PAYMENT
Please send the estimated fees by remittance.
TELECONSULTATION REQUIREMENTS
- 1. Please prepare a camera-enabled computer, laptop, smart phone, or tablet, and ensure your internet connection status is stable. (WIFI connection is most recommended)
- 2. If you are using a smart phone or tablet, please download the “Cisco WebEx Meetings” app, to allow video conference with the doctor(s).

- 3. After the download, our staff will send a link to you. Please click and connect through the link on the time and date that is arranged for you. Then you will be ready to teleconsult with our doctor(s).
