Ching-Hsi Hsiao, MD, a board certified ophthalmologist, who specializes in Corneal and External Eye Diseases. Selected among the top 100 best doctors in Taiwan by the Business Weekly Magazine in 2008, her medical achievements in ophthalmology have been highly recognized and valued by the public. Dr. Ching-Hsi Hsiao has a particular interest in corneal infectious diseases. Her specialty focuses on corneal diseases and refractive surgery.

Born in Taipei, Taiwan, Dr. Ching-Hsi Hsiao attended Taipei Medical College (Taipei Medical University), graduating in 1993. After completing her residency training at department of Ophthalmology, Chang Gung Memorial Hospital, Taoyuan, Taiwan, she worked as a research fellow at Professor David Hwang’s lab in University of California, San Francisco from 1997~1999. Since then, she has returned to Chang Gung Memorial Hospital and served as a full-time physician in Department of Ophthalmology and an associate professor at Chang Gung University.

As a member of the Ophthalmological Society of the Republic of China (No.1014), the American and European Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, and the American Association of Ophtalmology, a few of Dr. Ching-Hsi Hsiao's major achievements include: receiving the Best Teacher Award at Chang Gung Memorial Hospital in 2011, and being awarded more than once for Most Outstanding thesis by the Internal college of Surgeons and the Opthalmological Society of the Republic of China.
