Profile
Dr. Lin obtained her medical degree at Chung-San University in 1998. She is a board-certified Radiation Oncologist after completion of 4-year residency training at Chang Gung Memorial Hospital in 2002. After then, she works in Taipei Head and Neck Oncology group and completed her Ph.D. degree at Graduate Institute of Clinical Medical Science Chang Gung University in 2012. She served as associated professor attending physician of Radiation Oncology since 2014. Dr. Lin has successfully treated over 2000 patients and published more than 100 peer-reviewed papers.
Success Cases
At present, more than 2000 patients diagnosed with head neck cancers or nasopharyngeal carcinoma have been successfully treated. According to the Taiwan National database from Health Promotion Administration, Ministry of Health and Welfare: for non-metastatic oral cavity cancer patients treated in our institute between 2010 and 2011, the 2-year survival rates were stage I, II, III and IV were 96.9%, 90.3%, 77.9% and 59.7%, respectively. The treatment outcomes for patients with oral cavity cancers were higher than the national level and kept improving.

Case 1
A 55 years old male with stage III buccal cancer, has received radical surgery resection of tumor followed by postoperative chemoradiotherapy in March 2013. He has good tumor control as well as good function preservation. The picture showed that he served as honor award singer in 2015 cancer-patient ceremony.
Case 2
A 45-year old male, diagnosed with stage IV buccal cancers, has received radical surgery with free flap reconstruction followed by postoperative chemoradiotherapy in June 2010. He escaped treatment for several months owing to concerning about cosmetic change. The tumor progressed to very locally advanced stage and finally he decided to receive standard treatment. Fortunately, with our efforts and encouragement, the tumor has been successfully controlled. Although he indeed had significant body image change, with his wife support, he turns to think positively and gets better and better. He enjoyed his life with his family after successful treatment and make efforts in helping other cancer patients as well.
