Profile
After residency training completed on Jul. 1997 here in Chang Gung Memorial hospital, I stayed as a physician in Department of radiation oncology, and focused my patient care on adult CNS tumor, esophageal cancer, sarcoma, and the pediatric cancers. I worked as the team leader of our esophageal cancer team from 2009-2016. Except being the member of Taiwan’s radiation oncology society, I worked as the Secretary General in this society from 2014-2016. As to the other professional organizations, I am the member of ASTRO (American society of therapeutic radiation oncology) since 1998, SNO (society of neuro-oncology) since 2007 and PROS (Pediatric radiation oncology society) since 2011.
Specialty
Radiotherapy for adult CNS tumor, esophageal cancer, sarcoma, and the pediatric cancers, radiosurgery.
Success Cases
I treated about 100 new cases of esophageal cancer yearly since year 2000, and also 50 adult CNS tumors, 30 soft tissue sarcomas, 20 pediatric cancer patients yearly. As a part of team work in oncology treatment, it is not fair to give all credits to radiotherapy in the success rate of every kinds of cancer, but our treatment results are comparable to the most modern series.

Short term result of proton therapy to relapsed hepatoblastoma in the abdomen. A 4 year-old girl, who was noted to have elevated alfa-fetoprotein after chemotherapy and radical excision of hepatic tumor, recurrent node in the peripancreatic area was found, PET/CT revealed no other lesion, and proton therapy 50CGE/ 25fx was used to treat the relapsed node, no acute complication was observed during treatment, and the alfa-fetoprotein level dropped steadily to within normal limits after the treatment and remained stable 1 year after the treatment.
