Listed among one of the major educational hospitals in Taiwan, Chang Gung Memorial Hospital (CGMH) is accredited by Taiwan's Medical Accreditation Council (TMAC), ranking first in the high-level OSCE center. The hospital offers a wide variety of carefully designed internship programs to supplement medical students with hands-on, clinically-focused training in twelve diverse categories as well as various managerial, informational and administrative training.
An average of 8% of Taiwanese medical students complete their clinical training in Chang Gung Memorial Hospital every year The training capacity for post-graduate year trainee is the most in Taiwan, and the recruitment rate is 100% The training completion rate for residents is 100%, and the retention rate for attending physicians afterward in the hospital is over 70% Chang Gung Memorial Hospital offers 3,400 clinical internships for health professional students from medical university each year, providing 12 health professions education categories trainees for clinical training.
Each year, the hospital provides training for ten thousand interns, including medical students, nurses, pharmacists, and other medical engineers. Since 1990, Chang Gung Memorial Hospital has received and trained over 4,600 foreign researchers, visiting scholars, and fellows from 110 countries, including North America, South America, Central America, Europe, Africa, the Middle East, Malaysia, Singapore, India, South Korea, the Philippines, Japan, and more.
